Public Gets Look at New PHS Ag Building

The public got a chance to tour the newly completed and modernized Agriculture Building at Pittsburg High School during the May 11 open house.
Several PHS students gave visitors an information tour of the $3-million, 17,567 square-foot facility. The new building’s metal frame, siding and roof were constructed on a concrete foundation which is being used as the floor.
The old Agriculture Science Building was located on Texas Street and PHS students used it for more than 20 years.
William Morgan, long-time PHS agriculture teacher, said there is nothing about the new facility that he doesn’t like.
“It is a wonderful facility,” Morgan said. “For an ag-science teacher, it’s like Christmas in May.”
