Pirates Announce 2018-2019 Football Opponents

The UIL announced Thursday the 2018-2020 realignment districts for the upcoming football seasons. The Pirates lost Gladewater and Atlanta due to enrollment numbers and gained Liberty-Eylau out of Texarkana. The Pirates district will consist of Longview Spring Hill, Gilmer, LE and Texarkana Pleasant Grove to form District 6-AAAA. Pleasant Grove won last years 4A DII State Championship. 

The Pirates will also see a tough preseason as they have announced their schedule dates. Pittsburg will see old rivals and new top ranked opponents in 2018-2019 with these new teams.

• 8/31 - Jefferson
• 9/7 - Pine Tree
• 9/14 - Tatum
• 9/21 – Van
• 9/28 – Kilgore
• 10/5 – Rusk
• Followed by District
