Complaints & Grievances

Complaint & Grievance Process

The Board encourages community members to first share their concerns with the administrator best suited to address them. Bringing concerns forward early helps ensure they can be resolved quickly and at the lowest possible level.

While informal resolutions are encouraged, they do not change any deadlines in this policy unless both parties agree in writing.

If you wish to file a formal complaint, you may do so by submitting a written complaint form within the required timeframe. Even after starting the formal process, you’re encouraged to continue working toward an informal resolution. If your concern is resolved, you may withdraw your formal complaint at any time.

Submission Methods & Deadlines

In Person
Deliver your form to the appropriate administrator on the campus level or PISD Administration Office, when applicable.

Electronically
You may send your filing by email or fax. A filing submitted electronically is considered timely if it is received by the close of business on the deadline, as shown by the date and time on the electronic communication.

By U.S. Mail
A mailed filing is considered timely if it is postmarked by the deadline and received by the appropriate administrator no more than three days after the deadline.

You may request a printed copy at any campus or Administration Office.
