Pittsburg ISD Excels at Preliminary State Test Results

Preliminary state standardized testing results for fifth-and eighth-graders had Pittsburg at the top of the list.

  • Math and reading passing standards are higher this year for State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness exams.
  • Fifth- and eighth-grade students who did not pass math or reading are re-testing this week, and those scores will be combined with preliminary results for a total passing percent.
  • Final passing percentages should be available in early June.

Pittsburg – 5th Grade – 92% …. 8th Grade – 90%

Gilmer – 5th Grade – 59% …. 8th Grade – 81%

Gladewater – 5th Grade – 62% …. 8th Grade – 76%

White Oak – 5th Grade – 92% …. 8th Grade – 90%

Spring Hill – 5th Grade – 85% …. 8th Grade – 89%

Pine Tree – 5th Grade – 65% …. 8th Grade – 75%

Union Hill – 5th Grade – 61% …. 8th Grade – 87%

State Average – 5th Grade – 75% …. 8th Grade 82%
