Pittsburg ISD Receives Highest Ratings on State Accountability Report

The state has released the accountability reports for the 2015-16 school year.

Once again, all Pittsburg campuses received a Met Standard rating which is the highest rating possible!

But of course we are not satisfied with just meeting a standard, because we also received 15 academic distinction designations out of a possible 25!

Here are some of the highlights:

Primary and Elementary  - Top 25% of schools for closing performance gaps and preparing students for postsecondary readiness

Intermediate – Academic Achievement in Reading, Math, and Science AND Top 25% of schools for student progress, closing performance gaps and preparing students for postsecondary readiness

Junior High - Academic Achievement in Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies AND Top 25% of schools for student progress, closing performance gaps and preparing students for postsecondary readiness

High School – Top 25% performance in Algebra I EOC and greater than expected growth in math and Top 25% for SAT performance in ELA

Bragging rights go to both the Intermediate and Junior High campuses!!!

Both earned EVERY ACADEMIC DISTINCTION FOR WHICH THEY WERE ELIGIBLE!!!
